Because of a Teacher
I Am a Writer Because: My first grade Teacher, Mrs. McKenzie taught me to read and to love the written word.
I am a Writer because: My sixth grade Teacher, Mrs. Wallaben loved the stories I wrote and called me "her budding little writer."
I am a Writer because: My eighth grade Teacher, Mr. H encouraged my writing of plays.
I am a Writer because: My fifth grade Teacher, Mrs. Lewalk taught me to question what I read and to delve deeper into the meaning of what I read.
I am a Writer because: My stepmother gave me an old typewriter and told me to type my stories for my Teachers.
I am a Writer because: My high school English Literature Teacher taught me the wonder of the written and spoken word, and the fascination of their origins.
I am a Writer because: My high school Civics Teacher taught me the power and distruction of words when used by our civic leaders.
I am a Writer because: My family has six Teachers, two Physical Therapists, two Nurses and two Doctors within its folds, all of whom encouraged me to WRITE.
But mostly I am a Writer because:
Of a TEACHER.
And this Writer supports not only the Teachers of Wisconsin but all Teachers world wide.

New Page!! Lila Lovely - Sipper of Souls
For for my new dark and sinister (or is she really) character "Lila Lovely - Sipper of Souls". I'll be running her stories and art work from Wednesday Wolf. Plenty of suprises with this lady from the other side and her "Daddy". Hope she gives you a shiver or two!
BLOG! BLOG! BLOG! I've finally started a blog
You can find the blog at: www.sablejak.tumblr.com. Do give me a little time to get used to blogging. I'm not known for ever being without something to say, until I face a blank computer screen and have to write something about myself. So... give me time and space and I'll get better at it!
This novelette is based on a scene from Chapter 3. Created by artist Wednesday Wolf.

WINNER OF A "SPIRIT OF MOONDANCE" AWARD
Moondance International Film Festival http://moondancefilmfestival.com/ has awarded "An Elemental Horror" a "Spirit of Moondance" award in its audio-drama script division. The festival is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado and is sponsored by people such as Jodie Foster's Egg Pictures, and Oprah Winfrey's "O" magazine. I am, of course, thrilled! Below is a little about the story and the characters:
Moondance International Film Festival has awarded "An Elemental Horror" a "Spirit of Moondance" award in its audio-drama script division. The festival is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado and is sponsored by people such as Jodie Foster's Egg Pictures, and Oprah Winfrey's "O" magazine. I am, of course, thrilled! Below is a little about the story and the characters:
"In 1890's London the highest paid private detective is a woman, Rebecca Bowen". Loosely based on a real female private detective in 1890's London, Rebecca is a "New Woman", independent, bold, educated. She is the daughter of a Barrister father and a suffragette mother. She has a nose for mystery and a need to find the truth. She is assisted in her endeavors by her Russian/English bodyguard (and lover) Jack Saunders and her parasol wielding Irish maid-turned-secretary, Polly Penniford.
In "An Elemental Horror" the trio travels to Montbury Manor to investigate if there really is an evil Elemental Spirit haunting the halls, or if someone is bent on driving Lady Montbury and her household mad.
With great sadness:
I am sorry to announce the sudden passing of my associate Bob Cardenas. He has been patiently teaching me the art of audio mixing and has been a wonderful contributor to the work that I do. He will be sorely missed, not just for his work on my projects but as one of the nicest, kindest and most patient gentlemen I've had the pleasure to know. Somewhere the heavenly chorus just got a little sweeter with Bob's help.
I've tried to make this website as easy to use as possible. I hope you'll find the information within it useful.
